Since the inception of Kronstadt Asset Management, co-founder Maxim Protsenko has steered the firm’s operations and asset strategies from the helm. Prior to this, Mr Protsenko ran his own financial advisory — a dedicated team of analysts and risk managers who managed a vast array of equities and commodities for a diverse range of individual clients. He has also lent his expertise to established financial institutions like BCS Financial Group, Solid Invest, and Alor Trade, aiding in the foundation and guidance of their hedging desks.

In 2006, at the dawn of his career, he ventured into the wholesale petroleum market. Starting his tenure as a commodity trader at GT Trading Oy, he was instrumental in market analysis, risk mitigation, and forging contracts. He later ascended to positions like CCO at Torgovo-Promyshlennaya Kompania and subsequently CFO of Yugtrastneft LLC, managing product exports and overseeing hedging initiatives valued at 150 million USD.

Mr Protsenko graduated from Rostov State Economic University with a Master’s in Macroeconomics. Additionally, he boasts an FMVA certification from CFI and has a notable registration with CySEC's "Public Register of Certified Persons" under the identifier CN7829.
